A kind-hearted man on the streets in Mexico was caught feeding hungry stray dogs.
Security footage captured the moment a street vendor in Puebla, Mexico, a city in east-central Mexico, southeast of Mexico City, pulled out food for the hungry animals on the streets.
Mexico has the largest amount of stray dogs in Latin America, according to CBC. That news station reported that there are “between 15 and 18 million dogs living without — or abandoned by — human owners,” in Mexico alone.
Because there are so many dogs on the streets, many people view them as pests, and the dogs are often treated with cruelty. Some leave the dogs alone, but they end up hungry and in need of care.
However, there are some kind people out there who do take compassion for the dogs. While it’d be nearly impossible for one person to save all of the dogs on the streets, even a small act of kindness can go a long way.
One street vendor proved just that. He didn’t know anyone was watching, but he was caught on camera feeding some stray dogs in the area.
He may have not had much money or food for himself, but he was willing to use what he did have to share with those in need.
