After More Than 400 Days At The Wickenburg Shelter, An Arizona Dog Was Finally Adopted

After spending a lot of time on the road she was picked up by some volunteers from the Amazon Human Society. At first she was worried but in time she became loved by everyone.

According to a news release from the Arizona Humane Society, Lola, a 2-year-old stray dog, was brought to the Humane Society of Wickenburg in September last year along with her litter of six puppies.

All of her puppies were adopted, but she didn’t receive her fortunate break until she was relocated to the Arizona Humane Society in Phoenix, according to officials.

Lola was adopted by a Mesa family in less than 24 hours at the Phoenix shelter.

Her story was made possible, according to officials, by the Project Achievement Program, an indirect housing program aimed at rescuing dogs with medical requirements or who have been placed in overcrowded shelters. Lola moved from there, as the chance for adaptation had to increase.
